National Volunteer Week 2021

National Volunteer Week 2021

Monday, 17 May to Sunday, 23 May 2021

National Volunteer Week (NVW) is Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteers. Coordinated by Volunteering Australia, NVW aims to acknowledge the significant and generous contribution of our nation’s volunteers.

The theme for National Volunteer Week 2021 is:

Recognise. Reconnect. Reimagine.

  • Recognise, celebrate and thank volunteers for the vital role they play in our lives.
  • Reconnect to what is important by giving our time to help others and ourselves.
  • Reimagine how we better support volunteers and communities they help.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank each of our volunteers for their hard work and dedication.

EMC Director Nicole Wiggins said, “the staff, board and guests of the EMC appreciate the dedication of all our volunteers and the wonderful, caring way in which they generously provide their time. Happy National Volunteer Week to all EMC volunteers. The centre would not be possible without the help of this amazing team of people.”

Wave Your Appreciation for Volunteers

Volunteering Australia is inviting us all to put our hand up and thank the millions of volunteers around Australia with a special smile as part of the Wave Your Appreciation campaign.

Join us as we recognise, celebrate, and thank volunteers for the vital role they play in our lives. Upload your wave photo to social media during National Volunteer Week and share using the hashtags #NVW2021 and #waveforvolunteers.
