Anti-Poverty Week 2024

Anti-Poverty Week 2024

13-19 October 2024

Anti-Poverty Week supports the Australian community to have an increased understanding of poverty and to act collectively to end it. The campaign encourages all Australians to take action and focus on positive solutions to end poverty.

Anti-Poverty Week (APW) is held each year around the 17th of October, the United Nations Day for the Eradication of Poverty. This year APW is being held from Sunday 13 October to Saturday 19 October.

In Australia, there are more than 3 million people living below the poverty line. That’s more than 13.4% of the population. Many of those affected live in deep poverty.
