The annual EMC Non-Event is a fundraising event where attendees can do whatever they want, or nothing at all.

The Non-Event allows you to not only support a very worthy cause, but it also gives you the perfect opportunity to either select an activity of your choice at a venue of your choosing, or alternatively do nothing at all; knowing you have a commitment at that time.

Register for our second annual Non-Event fundraising event and receive a Golden Ticket to do whatever you want! You could see a movie, have a BBQ with your mates, or stay at home and treat yourself with a bubble bath.

The possibilities are endless, and the whole time you’ll be supporting our mission to help people experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, homelessness.

Our Non-Event means no COVID restrictions, face masks, QR codes or social distancing. And no chance of cancellations! Also, because you’re not actually attending an event, your donation is tax deductible.

The timing of the fundraiser coincides with the annual Hands Across Canberra Hands up for CBR Giving Day appeal, where all donations made through the appeal are matched (eg: $20 becomes $40, $100 becomes $200).
